Your service area lives in app.wonflo.com under Customize → Service area. It is a circle: one centre point and one radius.
Setting it
- Drag the pin to the centre of the area you work. That is usually your shop or yard — not necessarily your home address, and not necessarily the middle of town.
- Set the radius with the slider. Anywhere from 5 to 100 miles, in whole numbers.
- Save. It takes effect on your live funnel right away.
The map shows the circle as you drag, so you can sanity-check it against the towns you actually service before you save.
What a homeowner outside the circle sees
They do not get a quote and they do not get a form. The estimate page is replaced with a short, polite message: that your company does not service that address because it falls outside your service area, and that if they entered it by mistake they can try another one. There is a Try a different address link, and that is the whole page.
No blame, no dead end, no "call us anyway" — just a clean stop. It reads as a company that knows its own territory, which is exactly the impression you want to leave with somebody you cannot help.
Picking a radius that works
It is a circle drawn on a map, not a drive-time zone, so it will never match your real territory exactly. A few things worth thinking about:
- Err slightly generous. Cutting the radius tight to save yourself a few long drives also turns away the jobs at the edge that you would happily have taken.
- Mind the geography. A river, a mountain, a state line or one bad bridge can put an address ten miles away an hour from you. The circle does not know that; you do.
- Long, thin territories cost you. If you run a corridor rather than a blob, the circle that covers the far end also covers a lot you do not want. Size it for the work you actually get, not the furthest job you ever took.
- Match your ad targeting. If your Google or Meta targeting is wider than your service area, you are paying for clicks that will be turned away at the address box. Line the two up.
Turning it off
The Clear service area button removes the gate entirely. With no service area set, every U.S. address gets an instant quote — the dashboard says exactly that when the field is empty, so you are never guessing about which state you are in.
Clearing is the right move if your coverage is genuinely statewide or you are chasing storm work across a region. Just know you are opting back into quoting anyone who finds the page.
U.S. addresses only, either way
Whether or not you have set a service area, the funnel quotes U.S. addresses only. An address outside the U.S. gets its own short message asking them to double-check and try again.
